paranoia: An irrational fear, suspicion, or distrust of others. The big brother is watching you. Or is he?

Words. They define who you are. Time flows and you change. The words you once used will not be used again. You learn new words. You learn new ways to use words. So the words that you use should affect your life for a limited time. That is how it used to be. Is it that way anymore?

Once upon a time, not so long ago, if you said something, it was lost like ripples on the surface of water, over time. With the new wave of technology, this might not be true anymore. With the advent of crawlers, search engines and the "internet wayback machine", every word that you ever put online can and will be archived and be available forever. Are you ready for that?

Recently, the US government made statements to the effect that they were going to create a massive archiving system that would take snapshots of the web and be store for eternity. Are you ready for that? That harmless joke? Those rants about someone? Those feelings and emotions that you put out there? Those pictures of you and others? Are you sure they won't come back and bite you at a later time?
