Doom III is undoubtedly the best game that I have every played. Man, I mean I started getting afraid of going into a dark place and of the monsters in there. They have made the graphics so very convincing that you really feel like you are in a dark place, all by yourself, without any hope.

You can get doom3 reviews all over the net and I am sure everyone attests to the might and greatness of this game. Kudos to the IDsoft people. Once again, they haver redefined the gaming market. With the awesome story line and execution of the story line, many times during the game I started feeling lonely and wondering why not more of soldiers could be with me. You know, to feel encouraged with and to console each other and yeah, company would be nice to have in those dark alleys.

For my batchmates who spent endless nights death-matching each other and going through doom1 and doom2, doom3 is just way beyond both of those. The use of the audio visuals in this game is mind boggling. For example, while passing through a certain dark alley, you will hear this gut wrenching cry from somewhere, a solemn, bone-chilling cry of a woman asking for help, the sobbing of souls being tormented, it is all just too much.

I have an Athlon XP 2000+ with 512MB ram and Nvidia ti-4600 128M video card but my system could not handle the max res graphics and I had to scale down to the lowest level. Let me tell you however, that even these lowest level of graphics were far better than anything else that I have ever seen. Now here is a task for you. If you ever get your hands across this game and you get your hands across a machine sufficient to take you across, though must take this rite of passage. The passage to being a novice gamer to a professional gamer. Ha, just joking.
